OK, so as promised, a few photos of this skirt actually styled (see Part I here). LOL. I have a few other ideas on what to do with this skirt, but I don't know. At this point, I'm leaning towards just sending the thing back, especially since I killed my budget for the month of April, no thanks to Ann Taylor:
And here without the belt (pretend the tank isn't bunching, I couldn't find my shorter one):
Sweater: GAP Elbow-length Cardi (Dark Coral, size XS).
Skirt: Splendid Lycra Maxi Skirt (Carbon, size XS).
Tank: AE Favorite Tank (White, size XS).
Flower Pin: H&M
Sandals: Mea Shadow Camellia Shootie (Tan, size 6).
Watch: Michael Kors Runway (Silver).
Belt: ASOS Skinny Leather Belt (Yellow Patent, size S).
What do you ladies think? Still hate it?

Hahaha, thanks for the link to part 1 :P I'm all over the place these days, I think I'm caught up on blogs but clearly I'm not :P
Ok, I don't HATE it, but I don't LOVE it either. I actually had a similar skirt to this in black but it wasn't as long. From part 1 I could actually see it as a tube dress!! With the fold completely folded up. I could also see is as a shorter tube dress with the folded part starting at the chest and ending at the waist (does that even make sense)? I like it styled with the belt - the flower and the colourful sweater looks great - was a bit thrown off since it's a bit more on the "girly" side than I'm used to seeing you :P But you totally pull it off!
Hmmm. At first glance, the material looks like jersey which automatically makes me go --> sleepwear. Especially since it's a plain skirt, no ruffles or pleating yknow? Maybe you should try to style it Calvin Klein style and see if that works.
I think you can rock any look because you just have that confidence in your body language and face!
The cardigan works, but I think it would be even better with animal print or something more "feisty".
I actually like it... You can pull it off even though it's simple. Minimalism is "in" right now, isn't it? :)
I like it too! You look super comfy and chic. =)
Definitely not as bad since you can't see the bunching of the skirt around your waist. I love Elaine's idea of converting it to a tube dress, however! And I also love that pink cardi & flower on you :)
Haha. I tried wearing it as a dress because you are supposed to be able to,
and I had some great thoughts on how to style itbut it's really not a great
idea. It just doesn't stay up! LOL.
mb you can use a shirt instead of a cardigan. cardigan looks a bit matronly.
Still not my cup of tea but its up to you. Sometimes it takes time to get used to a new look.
GREAT style!! Love the maxi skirt!
