The story behind these Sam Edelman Adena Loafers: I actually purchased these shoes from Endless during their F&F sale. I've been seeing smoking slipper/loafers everywhere online and even though they're really unusual-looking, they've really intrigued me because they seem to be a great alternative to the ballet flat. Months ago I purchased the Matt Bernson Gitanes loafers and they were insanely hurty. After that, I kind of convinced myself that all loafers would feel like the same way. But I can't resist an F&F sale, and despite these weird looking spikes and sparkles, I went ahead and ordered them even though I fully expected to return them once I received them. But when I actually put them on, they were so comfortable! Lots of padding under the feet, no rubbing, feet for the most part didn't slip out, and they didn't dig into my ankle bone which is generally what happens with 95% of shoes. They are really funky, and I'm usually not one to fall for trends, but they look so darn cute with a pair of denim. I bought so many pairs of boots and shoes in the last few weeks and I still have my eye on another. I need to return a few pairs, but I'm having a hard time putting these back in the box. What do you ladies think? Do you agree with my mom?

I love them! I was just looking at them the other day but was sad to see they don't come in size 5! Hrmph!
I love the shape and plan on getting myself a cheaper version of these loafers. However, I find the spikes to be a bit scary for some reason.

By the title of the post I was expecting to see really uggggly shoes, but those are pretty unique and funky (in a good way)! You totally rock them!

im not a fan of the spikes, but in general i like them! i definitely need those in a plain, boring color. im having trouble finding comfy loafers, too

If you plan on getting a lot of wear out of them, then I say keep 'em! :D
I think I'll get a lot of wear out of them casually. It'll be interesting to see if I can get away with them at work, though. LOL.
the fact that you have to ask if you should keep these shoes, means you should return them.

Haha. My dad said they look like weapons! I think they remind me of Bowser from the Super Mario Bros videogames.

LIKE!!! It's hard to find a good fit in loafers/ flats.. so if they're really that comfortable, you'll reach for them all the time. ;]
Ahh... Sam Edelman and spikes! There's a pair of ballet flats I'm also eyeing from their line that has spikes on top of a little bow. That's the only thing giving me second thoughts right now.
You sound super happy and excited about these loafers, so I say keep! Though that's not my final opinion until we see what other shoes/boots you've bought ;)
I kinda love them! Of course, I've got a quirky sense of style, but I love the look of "tough" accessories with classic pieces. Throw these babies on with a pair of ankle grazing skinnes and a crisp white blouse and you are oh-so-chic. My vote is clearly...KEEP 'EM.

Can you help me with the size? Usually i wear 7.5, but i heard that i need one size bigger in sam edelman. What do you think?
I have my regular size, but they're quite narrow and I have narrow-ish feet. If your feet are on the wider side, I would go up a half size.
Love them♥ I was going to purchase them online but, I've read some comments saying that the jewels & the spikes fell. Did yours fall?
I haven't had any spikes fall off, but I have noticed that a few jewels have. Nothing major though.
