Conditional Love.

Sweater: Jacob Kimono Sleeve Sweater (Grey, size XS).
Bag: Olivia Harris (Dark Teal Patent).
Pants: GAP Really Skinny Pants, folded (Black, size 00P).
Bracelet: Express.
Booties: D&G Suede Booties (Charcoal grey, size 6).
Necklace: F21 Pendant.
Shirt: Smart Set Crew neck Long-sleeve T-shirt (Black, size XS).

I've been getting a lot of wear out of these GAP Really Skinny Pants lately. I love the idea of them, however, they bag out like crazy and not only in the butt area, but at the knees as well. It drives me completely insane because it can really make an outfit look sloppy. If anyone has any suggestions as to a similar pant that does not bag out so much, please leave a comment below! The J.Crew Minnie pant was too short, and although it doesn't bag out as much as the GAP, I really want something that holds its shape throughout the day.

Now, having said that, I'm really trying to minimize my spending the next few months (aren't I always??). The Christmas holidays are coming and I have some very expensive bar exams that I will need to pay for in the coming months so I'm *really* going to try! I've already cut myself off from jeans, shoes, and purses. I have one more sweater purchase allowance for the F/W season which I just ordered from Nordstrom but we'll see if I love it enough to keep it. Other than that, there isn't much left except blouses, skirts and maybe some trousers. Admittedly, I have been stalking a few things for the last two or three months, so if those go on super sale I probably won't be able to resist. But if not, this blog is likely going to be filled with a lot of re-mixing and re-styling and even some experimenting for the next little while (I do still have a few newer items I have yet to show you all). Hopefully I won't fall into a style slump, but I'm already starting to feel it. I'm just so uninspired lately, but I think it's just a result of certain aspects of life leaking elsewhere. Do you have any tips for staying out or coming out of a style slump without having to buy new pieces? I'd love to hear them!

This outfit is so cute with your kimono sweater! Those booties are great!

As for pants that do no slouch...I like the GAP back-zip leggings which are super tight. (see my link below for review). They are less than $25 currently and still available in the smaller petite sizes.

Style slump....I think it is fun to choose one bold statement piece (either jewelry, shoes, or clothing) and try to style an outfit based around that.

Have a nice week! :)

Love this look. The oversized sweater looks great over the skinnies.

I don't think you will ever fall into a style dump.

In love with the booties. Are they a recent purchase?

I bought a pair of skinny sateen pants from Gap Kids back in August - they are black, and were tagged as capris but they are ankle length on me. They fit me exactly like your Gap skinnies in the above photo fit, but because they run small, they don't bag out. Also, they have an adjustable waistband (all kids pants seem to have those these days).  You're about my size so you might consider them. I wear a 12 or 14 regular at Gap Kids (my black pants are a 14, but I think I have some jeggings in size 12).  I was worried that my muscular legs would not fit into kids skinny pants, but the ones from Gap work well.

I love J.Crew's Minnie's.... yeah, they're a bit short, but they're sooooo goood tucked into boots (I'd probably won't wear it with regular shoes unless I'm not wearing socks)...

So cute and I keep staring at your booties! *Drooling* LOL

I don't think it's possible for you to be in a style slump....but I always find it challenging when I don't buy new stuff..I get bored with my clothes quickly so I'm of no help...:)

They were purchased last year at TJ Maxx. I've looked for them online, but no luck, so I have no idea what season they're from. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

I watch "what not to wear" and pour over fashion magazines to get out of a style slump.......that being said, sometimes I just take a break from style and fashion for a bit (the slump never lasts very long I've found ;)
