Blazer: Zara (Black, size S).
Blouse: H&M Chiffon Cross-over top (Black/white houndstooth, size 2).
Skirt: Zara Sheath skirt (Blue, size XS).
Tights: Falke Pure Matt 50 Denier (Black).
Boots: Marc Fisher Kevins (Tan Leather, size 6.5).
Watch: Michael Kors Runway Watch (Silver).
I found this sleeveless houndstooth chiffon-type cross-over top at H&M quite a few months back. I took it with me into the fitting room and when I put it on, it was just "meh". But I had walked into the store wearing a blazer and had a thought that I should put it on over top to see what it would look like. Voila. Instant chic. Goes to show that it pays to be creative even in the fitting room.
The skirt is just a touch too long to be worn with these boots. If the boots were black or if the skirt was a bit shorter it would give the illusion of a longer leg. Here, I just insisted on wearing these boots with the rest of this outfit and hoped that no one noticed that I looked extra short today.

Does the lining of that blazer match your skirt?!? That's great that you found a way to wear it :) I agree about the skirt just a TOUCH too long, but I don't think it makes you look short!

Haha, yea it almost matches it perfectly! Completely unintentional, but totally cool that it does.

Nice outfit, especially the skirt (picked up the same one from the Zara store in Rome a few days ago!)

Wow, I really love your blog!! You have amazing style and always look so put together and sophisticated! I'm pretty petite myself and am about to head off to my first internship and have been trying to buy more "professional" clothing, but have been having some trouble coming up with ways to look professional and stylish at the same time. Your blog has definitely given me some great ideas and inspiration - thanks! Definitely following (:

I love this blouse! I think I saw you and Aubs talking about it on Twitter..is it recent?
I think I purchased it in November? It also runs really large. Maybe part of the reason is because it's really flow-y and blouse-y, but it def. needs to be tucked into something.
