Interruption.
We interrupt Shoe Week on AFD for an opinion poll.
I ordered this leather sleeve jacket from Zara:
Here it is on me:

Zara jackets and coats have always fit me kind of oddly. Sometimes I can wear an Extra Small, and sometimes I'm forced to wear an Small to accommodate my shoulders and back. For this jacket however, I had to go up to an Medium! The Small fit in the back of the shoulders, but across the front was much too tight when buttoned up all the way. This jacket above is a Medium and fits across the front. I love this jacket, but does it look too big? The sleeves are too long, but they have zips at the end, so they cannot be shortened. I can cinch at the waist for a more customized fit, but I think that it fails to camouflage how large the back is. At first, I was convinced that this jacket looked alright, but now that I look at these photos, I think it does look a bit large looking at the back and overall, just too long. But maybe it's OK? I'm a bit confused by the size because I've never worn a Medium in my life, and I'm afraid that I might blinded by the fact that I really want to keep it. So I need someone to be the voice of reason. What do you think? Do you like it? Is it too big? Please leave a comment below!

It looks a little large. I noticed that Zara also has a jacket like this but not as long. Being petite it might fit better. Good luck.
i like it in theory, but i do think that its too big. especially by the back picture. also, i think the waist is a little too low since you had to size up. i've seen much better on you :)
The shorter jacket is on the Zara website under Woman, Lookbook, TRF, #11 picture.
There are two versions of this jacket. This is the second version, the first one is sold out (and I think actually looks better than this version), but I think they might lengthen it a little bit as it increases in size. Bummer.
Oh yes, I saw that one. I really wanted the drawstring waist though. The elastic bottom doesn't quite give it the same look.
The jacket is cute and I did see it on another blog but it might have been a smaller size.

Yes, Wendy is wearing version #1. She's also a bit smaller than I am and is probably wearing a smaller size!
I think it looks a little big in the shoulders, and the cinched waist looks like it's a little below your waist.
I think it looks too big on you:(
I think it is too big on you. From front it still look ok, but from the back, it look a bit big esp around shoulders
:( Darnit!
I agree. Looks OK in the front, but from the back it looks really big. I guess it's going back...
Sorry, Cher. But this jacket looks big on you. Are you sure small wouldn't work? It's quite odd.
Yes, I ordered the Small first. And when buttoned up it felt tight across the front (but the back felt OK, go figure). I was wearing only a t-shirt underneath too, so if I wanted to layer, I can only imagine how it was going to feel.
Trust your instinct. If it feels too big, take it back. There will always be another jacket.
My first instinct said to keep it! LOL! It was only after some rationalization and these photos that I saw that it was too big.
I think if u have that many fit issues, you already know the answer to ur question. There'd be too many fixes to it for u to grab for it on daily basis. But if u really love it, maybe the fixes are worth it
Yeah, sorry, it does look a little big. But again, might be worth it to make some tailoring adjustments... it is super cute!
So beautiful ! Love the jacket !
cute jacket but too big.
