And we're back with the first EOTD in a while, although just briefly. I had been posting rather frequently the last few weeks, but it's about to slow down again. I just received the electronic version of my study materials for my Barrister & Solicitor exams that I'll be writing in June. It's only been a few days, but I'm already finding it difficult to find time to study, particularly after a nine-hour work day. After a long day, who has the motivation? I may have to force myself to take some time off work to focus on my studies, I was hoping I wouldn't need to. But in the meantime, blogging is going to be pushed down the priority list, at least until I can find some sort of balance.
Blazer: Zara (Black, size S).
Skirt: Zara (Royal Blue, size XS).
Shirt: J.Crew Perfect Gingham (Black/white, size 0).
I actually put this outfit on yesterday, and immediately took it off. I was having one of those days where I felt nothing looked good. After five outfit changes, I gave up and just left the house angry.
Anyone else have days where you feel like nothing looks good no matter what you put on?

The outfit is cute and put-together. Don't be so sad :(. I have those days all the time though 'cause I don't like my clothes or body. The trim on the jacket is blue? Matches the skirt -- so cute!
i had one of those days last saturday before i was going to work at the free clinic. seriously, it doesnt even matter what i wear there, i have to wear my huge white coat over. still, it was so frustrating. i wore the most borning outfit ever. oh well.
you look polished! very nice look and your shoes are so cool! by the way, would you mind my asking what camera you are using? thanks!
Love the color of the skirt!
I love how you've used the colors in this outfit...casual, yet total chic!! :)
Don't know why you didn't like it...?
I have days where I'm not sure if all the clothes I'm trying to pull together actually harmonize, for sure. My go-to outfit for those days is a Lilly Pulitzer dress, sandals and a summer sun hat.
Thanks Lisa! I know I'm not alone in having those days, but it's still so frustrating! And yes, the trim on the jacket does match the skirt! LOL. I bought them separately so I had no idea that they matched until I put them on together one day.
LOL @ having to wear the lab coat over anyway. It doesn't matter, does it? It's the fact that you still know that you don't like what you are wearing underneath even if no one else can see.
Thanks! :) I use a Sony a55.
I don't know. I was just having one of those days, I guess because apparently, the day after I thought the outfit was fine. LOL.
I usually just like to put on my favorite pair of jeans and a T if I can't figure it out, but since I was going to work, that obviously wasn't an option. =/ Oh well.
I thought your outfit was cute and looked really "together"! Was really surprised after reading your comment...don't be too harsh on yourself. Although perhaps it would have looked nicer with heels??
Everything looks nicer with heels! LOL. But since I commute to work on the Metro, I'm usually in flats (I don't know many, nor do I often see many women who commute on the Metro in heels). So in reality, this is what I'm wearing, and given that my work place is fairly casual, I don't bother to change my shoes at work. Although of course, I could have just put heels on for the photos. ;) The flats is what makes it very preppy looking though, hence the title. :P
