On a whim, I decided to slip on some flats in a B&M store, and to my surprise, they actually stayed on! In fact, three pairs fit! Since then, I've been quietly searching the most recent Nine West collection to see if I can find a pair of flats that I loved. I found these Jeleena flats:
Some IRL photos:
A rather simple pointy-toe leather flat from the front, but they have this cool silver plating in the back that gives it a little bit of unexpected extra edge.
Fit: TTS. But because they stay on my heels when I walk, I guess I would have to say they run a bit narrow, particularly in the heel. Length-wise they fit like a true 6. There is no toe cleavage:
Comfort: They're fairly comfortable with minimal arch support. There is a little bit of padding in the foot bed, and the edges of the shoe don't feel so sharp that they will cut into my feet. They're OK, but nothing to write home about.
Quality: Typical Nine West quality. Not awful, not great either. I'm generally not a fan of their kid skin leather, as they show creases in the leather quite easily and I don't like the extra shine in the leather that their kid skin usually has. They also have a rubber sole.
Verdict: Maybe, likely a return. I love the look of them, but I'm a bit concerned that they will stretch out and not fit anymore, which has happened to me in the past. I may be worrying about nothing, but I'm still a bit apprehensive. If you are interested, they come in an array of colors and patterns including this "taupe" color with a gold-plated heel:
Anyone own a pair of leather Nine West flats? Have they stretched out much or am I safe?
