Layer upon layer, upon layer.

In the past, you may have noticed that my outfits don't involve much layering. Other bloggers do it well, I, on the hand prefer a more minimalistic look and have never had a desire to put much effort into layering other than throwing a crew-neck sweater over a button-down. However, now that I'm moved back to a much cooler climate, layering up is essential and it's about time I've learned to be more creative with it:

Sweater: C by Bloomingdale's Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater (Grey, size XS).
Shirt: J.Crew Keeper Chambray (Afternoon Sky, size 0).
Denim: Paige Premium Denim Peg Skinny (Merlot, size 25)(similar here).
Boots: Loeffler Randall Matilde Boots (Black, size 6.5).
Ring: Le Chateau Shield Ring (Gold).
Coat: J.Crew Wool Cashmere Coat (Black, size 0) (more recent version here).

Do you have any fun, creative ways to layer without looking like a crazy person?

You can still look minimal with layering. Your outfit proves that. Looks great.

How creative layering a turtleneck with a button down! Love it! Cozy! And great boots! Also love the clean white background :).

You look great! Your style is always spot on :) Can you do a review on those Loeffler Randall boots??! Love them and have been considering them for a while... tried them on once and thought they were big in the ankle for my wimpy legs.. wondering if I was wrong seeing them on you! They look lovely!

I like how you do the layering--simple but chic looking. I couldn't help but chuckle when I read your blog today. I think very often many bloggers overdo the layering look, what with the arm party, statement necklace and all. You are look good without trying too hard. :)
